Who are we?
These days, that’s a complicated question. The whole point of this system is that it is AI based. So, yes, HAL 9000 is a silent team member in most projects, and Falasō is no exception.
But this app is more than just an AI bot. It was developed by an entertainment lawyer with nearly three decades of experience in the entertainment industry. And after many years of working with entertainers of all kinds, watching the industry change, and seeing entertainers find new ways to get their names in front of the masses, I understand the industry.
I developed this app after watching emerging talent struggle with an affordable way to learn what kind of deal they are getting involved in. Many entertainers, short on funds, trust their counterparts and sign a deal they don’t fully understand with the hope of advancing their career.
And then they end up in my office bare months later because the deal isn’t working for them.
Turning to AI chatbots is a common way to hedge your bets and save legal fees. There are several problems with that approach. First, chatbots are notorious for “hallucinating,” meaning they will imply information that may not be accurate rather than admitting they don’t know the answer. You have to know what prompts to put in and you have to have a certain skillset to recognize hallucinations in the output. Second, they are generic. They have a lot of general information about a variety of topics, but they have to be trained before they can give you correct information about a specific topic.
That’s where FaLasō comes in. As entertainment lawyer, I have the unique ability to train a system so that it knows what to look for. FaLasō is the result of many hours of training by a seasoned professional. Obviously, no AI bot is perfect, and you need to understand that it won’t always get everything right. However, the AI’s training means FaLasō has an edge.
You should ALWAYS consult a lawyer to review your contract and give you advice about how it will impact your career. This app is no substitute for that. You should understand that what you receive from FaLasō is not legal advice and doesn’t create any kind of lawyer/client relationship. But if you want help understanding how the industry works and how a particular type of deal fits into the entertainment machine, you’ve come to the right place. FaLasō will help you educate yourself. And an educated entertainer also has an edge.
